This book explains the true meaning of Christmas, but the author also included Santa's role for Christmas which is great for the parents that still want to do the whole Santa thing. My kids and I loved this book so much that I ordered some more of this author's books. They're all extremely cute, and we adore them. My children are 4 and 2.

This was a gift and it was painful to read. I couldn't get past the polar bears talking about Jesus. Why would polar bears talk about Jesus?? Beyond this suspension-of-disbelief issue, I found it to be heavy-handed and graceless. We got rid of it.

I got this book as a new holiday tradition. 25 books til Christmas. My 3 yr old opened this one on the 1st day and we have to read it multiple times a day. Would recommend this book to anyone with young kids!
