I purchased this book for my son as a Christmas gift. He just loves trucks! Well he found it before Christmas and just fell in love. It has quickly become one of his favorite books. I love the rhyming and the wonderful drawings. Perfect gift for any little tot!

In the overcrowded children's book section, a lot of books are just there taking up space. You may even rope yourself into buying one of them. Then you get it home, look at its overly simplistic illustrations, its one-dimensional story, and notice that your child doesn't reach for it a second time or ask you to read it again when you're done.
Then there is Little Blue Truck, a simple, smart story with a wonderful lesson about making friends and helping those in need, no matter what mistakes they have made or what they've done to you (instant karma!). But this lesson is conveyed in far more precise, witty rhyme and accompanied with gorgeous and fun illustrations that PULL you into the story and the world it has created. My 2 1/2 y.o. son LOVES this book after having it on the shelf for over 2 months. Tonight he started reciting the parts that he knows well, and I had to come down and write a review to say thanks for a such a fun and sweet story and illustrations. Plus I love reading it, over and over and over... the only books I can say that about are classics like Goodnight Moon and Where the Wild Things Are. Little Blue Truck is a classic to us!
